A Stroke of Luck
I was born into this world challenged before I was born into this world. I suffered a massive stroke called (In Utero) in the womb of my mother. I wasn't aware that the odds for a person with my challenges would surmount to a life of challenges cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically. A life that could have kept me sheltered in the comfort of the walls I felt protected in.
I found my expression and ability to find purpose when I picked up my first camera and discovered my hidden talent. Photography. An uninhibited freedom to work with the tools I had in a way only I could. What my inability would limit me to do physically, I found my words through the images I captured in the photos I share. It's my voice that resonates in color, vivid and warm imagery, and opens doors and dialog about the wonderment I witness around me.
With the love, light, time, treasure, and support of my family I have started a new life with my own company. Today I stand for anyone challenged as I am to begin a journey I didn't think could happen. Now I know that the impossible is possible.
Whevere I am, my camera is not far behind and although my limitations may be at slower pace of understanding what people say or how fast I can work in the environments I find myself visiting near my home in Traverse City, Michigan, my images provide me the platform and foundation I stand on today. The solid ground I am growing my business on.
My door is open and I am ready to share my unique ability to warm your home, your office, and to color your world with my images. A stroke of luck turned what was scary and unclear into my clear next step as a contributing professional in my community. How can my images help shape, color, and add to the place your call home?
